Climbing with sea view
The Custonaci cliffs, located in the province of Trapani, Sicily, are one of the most popular destinations for sport climbing enthusiasts and those looking to immerse themselves in a breathtaking natural landscape. These rock walls rise majestically along the coastline, offering not only technical challenges for climbers but also stunning views stretching from the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea to the green expanses of Mediterranean scrub.
Suitable for vacations:

The Custonaci cliffs are composed of limestone, characterised by a variety of formations, including tufas, stalactites, and overhangs. This morphological diversity allows for numerous climbing sectors, each with its own distinctive features, making the area suitable for both beginners and experienced climbers alike.
Among the most renowned sectors is “Never Sleeping Wall”, located about a hundred metres from Mangiapane Cave. It is famed for its routes rich in tufas and stalactites—an uncommon feature, particularly in routes graded below 6c.

Another notable sector is “Cerriolo Park”, which offers approximately 50 routes across various walls. Situated within the Portella del Cerriolo Suburban Park, this sector is especially valued for the diversity of its climbs and the natural beauty of its surroundings.
