In the waters of the Mount Cofano Nature Reserve
The imposing massif of Mount Cofano, rising along the coast of Custonaci, shelters marine inlets of breathtaking beauty.
However, the wonder of this nature reserve continues beneath the surface of the sea as well. The seabed of the Reserve is home to stunning underwater landscapes, waiting to be explored through diving and snorkelling. Within these waters stands the “Stella Maris” statue, a favourite site for divers visiting the area. Dedicated to the Madonna of Custonaci, it is placed there to watch over the marine environment, serving as a guardian of the underwater world.
